Reimbursement Services

Since 1987, the HRC has assisted patients and patients' families with reimbursement solutions. A personal Humatrope Reimbursement Advocate researches all sources for funding and works with doctors' offices, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies to ultimately make the reimbursement process as easy as possible.

Healthcare providers may call the Humatrope Reimbursement Center directly at 1-800-642-2340, and a Humatrope Reimbursement Advocate will help with:

  • Obtaining a description of the benefits provided through their insurance plans.
  • Understanding their insurance coverage and what options are available.
  • Coordinating and submitting claim forms and documentation required by their insurers.
  • Appealing any denials of coverage from their insurers, whenever possible.
  • Exploring other sources of coverage and reimbursement.
  • Working with their doctors' offices to make sure all necessary information is promptly supplied to each patient's insurer.

Services performed by the HRC are provided at no cost to patients and doctors' offices. Participation in Therapy Initiation CANNOT begin until we receive your patient's signed Patient Authorization and Certification Form. Lilly pays for the Humatrope provided by the pharmacy. However, your patient may be responsible for other costs during this time, such as injection supplies or shipping charges for therapy from the pharmacy to your patient.

A Humatrope Reimbursement Advocate works with doctors and nurses to initiate Humatrope therapy; even before patients' reimbursement options have been established.
