Reimbursement Services for Patients

What's next?

The reimbursement process isn't always as clear as it should be; involving multiple parties and consisting of several steps before a funding decision is reached.

The Humatrope Reimbursement Center (HRC) is here to support you during this process with:

  • A helpful, dedicated person on the other end of the line.
  • Ongoing updates so your status is never a mystery.
  • An opportunity to decide when therapy begins.
  • The focus on what's in your best interest – always.

If you are new to therapy, HRC can assist you with:

  • Reimbursement search – dedicated individuals conduct an exhaustive funding search for your therapy.
  • Therapy initiation – an opportunity to start therapy while your reimbursement search is being conducted.

If you are continuing therapy, HRC can also provide:

  • Insurance reauthorization – ongoing reimbursement search support when changes in your insurance occur or when insurers have additional requests for information.
  • Therapy maintenance – support to maintain therapy during changes in your insurance.

How do I start Humatrope Therapy?

What if there is a problem?

If your Prior Authorization is denied:

Depending on the reasons for the PA denial, the HRC may be able to submit an appeal to your insurer. Our appeals team of registered nurses customizes your appeal based on the requirements of your insurance company and works with your physician's office to develop the strongest appeal possible. Timelines for insurers' decisions about appeals may vary.
All you have to do is provide the HRC with the letter of denial from your insurer.

If your appeal is denied:

After the PA and appeals steps, the HRC will provide you will an application for Eli Lilly and Company's Patient Assistance Program through which qualifying patients may receive full coverage for Humatrope therapy. If HRC provides you with the application for assistance, this does not guarantee coverage.
All you have to do is provide the HRC with the letter of denial from your insurer.

Reauthorization

Even when your insurer funds therapy, there may be additional requirements to continue therapy. Insurers may issue an expiration date to the original authorization, requiring therapy to be reauthorized periodically. The HRC can help coordinate submission of your reauthorization forms to maintain therapy.
